First Shell, First Shot, First Bird This Week on PF TV
Season 6 of Pheasants Forever Television is only on Outdoor Channel
- July 28 -
It's rare that a young hunter bags a rooster on their first-ever shot in the field, but you'll see such a shot on this week's episode of Pheasants Forever Television. The show will air on Outdoor Channel this Thursday at 1 AM CDT / 2 AM EDT, Friday at 7:30 AM CDT / 8:30 AM EDT and Sunday at 3 PM CDT / 4 PM EDT.
First, travel to Osborne, Kansas, for a tour of the Star Seed operation. This is where the recipe for wildlife habitat begins, as Star Seed – a longtime Pheasants Forever partner, creates native grass, wildflower and food plot mixtures that are the necessary ingredients for good pheasant and quail habitat.
Next, Pheasants Forever Television goes to Lyon County in western Minnesota for a youth mentored pheasant hunt. Pheasants Forever Television host Ron Schara's daughter, Simone, helps guide newbie pheasant hunter Matt Craig to his first bird – on his first ever shot! – all caught on camera.
Finally, a segment hardcore late-season pheasant hunters can relate to. The weather takes a serious turn for the worse for pheasant hunter and Pheasants Forever member Bruce Behm during an annual hut at Bald Eagle Ranch. Everything grinds to a halt...except the hunting, that is.
Season 6 of Pheasants Forever Television can be seen at the following air times through the end of 2010:
- Thursdays at 1 AM CDT / 2 AM EDT
- Fridays at 7:30 AM CDT / 8:30 AM EDT
- Sundays at 3 PM CDT / 4 PM EDT
